Virtual Schooling
Caterham School Virtual provides the very best of both worlds for young people globally. We are a unique online school with a proven track record in digital education built upon the foundation and experience of over 200 years of excellence in UK independent education. Caterham School Virtual provides a new pathway for those looking to secure a bright future at a leading UK or global university whilst remaining in their home country through Sixth Form.
Caterham School has a long-standing reputation for excellence in its use of technology. As an EdTech 50 school and an Apple Distinguished School it has been a beacon for innovation in Teaching and Learning. Caterham School Virtual is built upon the same foundations and pupils will find that technology is used to engage them as well as open up a wide variety of opportunities for them to succeed and learn.
Caterham School Virtual offers a two-year Sixth Form A Level experience for academically ambitious pupils based across the world. Pupils can chose from six A Level subjects which provide a strong pathway through to competitive courses at high-ranking universities in the UK and globally.
Pupils may choose to do any combination of A Levels on offer and will receive support from their Learning Coach who is on hand to guide them in the best choice of A Levels that will support their university and career ambitions.
Caterham School Virtual uses the Pearson Connexus platform to deliver the taught content of the school experience. This is a system used by more than 75,000 online school pupils around the world and one which offers a truly engaging and interactive experience, mixing live classroom lessons and multimedia content, alongside all of the other technological support we have come to expect, such as email, calendars and chat features.
To participate in Caterham School Virtual, pupils will need a laptop or desktop computer with both an up-to-date operating system (such as Windows 10 or later and Mac OS 10.7 or later) as well as a modern, high-performing browser (such as Safari, Chrome, Edge, IE11 or Firefox). A stable broadband connection is also a requirement.
“There’s a huge pool of knowledge that you can draw from here when you’re applying to Oxbridge. Teachers who not only guide you through the process but also actually know the individual colleges within the universities from first-hand experience.”
